In the heart of the Maremma winemaking region, guests immerse themselves in sumptuous interiors while experiencing the simple and therapeutic pleasures of the elements. Poggio Candore is part of a working farm and and located near Gavorrano at 18 kms from the Tuscan coast. The soft rolling red clay hills are touched by the sun for most part of the year in this unique and unspoiled part of Italy. Maremma runs from just south of Pisa along the beautiful Tuscan coast down to Orbetello. The countryside around the property is blessed with both white beaches and medieval hilltop villages. History and nature marry here in conjugal bliss. The total area of the villa is 10000 sq feet and it is surrounded by its own 140 acres of fields, vineyards, olive groves and woodland. Interiors avoid excess and provide a neutral canvas inviting a relaxing stay. Guest will find five sumptuous bedrooms all with en-suite bathroom. Each one has air conditioning, flat screen TV, DVD player, cable, broadband and a mini bar. The bathrooms are very large and all have sinks and walls in fine marble or local stones. The four living rooms have unique views of the surrounding countryside. One of them has a flat screen TV and a large fireplace, a wine tasting room and wine loungers. There is under floor heating throughout the villa. Fields of olive trees and soft rolling hills are ideal for excursions, mountain biking and mushroom picking or just a relaxing day by the pool. A large car park, extensive lake and own winery are all located on the estate. Included in the weekly rate is a chef available for up to 5 hours per day (food and drink costs are to be paid locally) and maid service every day. There are various local restaurants in the surroundings, they all offer homemade local dishes. Poggio Candore is just minutes away from medieval towns and villages, unspoiled beaches, a beautiful golf course, natural baths and traditional Tuscan eateries. The ground level entrance hall with video and DVD collection, very large living room divided into 3 areas; dining room (table for 12), large sitting area with a fireplace and a wine tasting lounge. On the basement level there is a double bedroom that can be converted into a twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower. The second double bedroom that can also be converted into a twin bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bathtub and hand held shower and separate shower. On the First floor there is a small living room with library, the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bathtub, shower and double basin, a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bathtub and hand held shower and a second double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower.
